About Me

The Creation of Nothing’s ImPASTAble

When I think of pasta, I am immediately brought back to my childhood. Growing up in a very
large Italian family in New York, I fondly remember the aroma of my father’s homemade
marinara sauce (or, “gravy”, as some call it) filling our house every Sunday. And it wasn’t just
the sauce. I smile as I think of him making homemade Italian sausage, my grandmother having
homemade pasta spread out in her basement to dry, and even all of the siblings taking turns
making eggplant parmigiana (we were taught at a very young age). And because of our large
family, my father always made a lot of food, because sauce wasn’t just for Sunday dinners….it
was always served on Tuesdays as well. Thankfully, my Irish mother went along with it.

Fast forward to today. Those traditional Sunday and Tuesday pasta dinners continue in my own
home in Flower Mound, Texas. However, the homemade pasta of fettucine, spaghetti, or
ravioli sometimes takes on a whole new appearance in my home, as I am an avid “pasta art”
enthusiast. By working with naturally colored doughs, the pasta sheets become my canvas and
the results are uniquely designed pasta shapes that are not only beautiful, but edible! When I
originally shared some of my pasta art with family and friends the common response was
“that’s not pasta”, “is that really pasta?”, “that’s impossible”… And it was then that
“Nothing’s imPASTAble” was created.

While “pasta art” is a creative outlet for me, I did not want the tradition of the art of pasta
making be lost. So in 2023 I decided to take a leap of faith and share my love of pastamaking
by offering private in-home classes and parties in the community. What a joy it has been to
watch others have the experience of gathering around a table with friends and loved ones
where laughter is shared, memories are made, and traditions come alive.

Peace. Love. Pasta.
